Google Chrome vs. Potato Gun

Potato guns, french fries and blazingly fast internet connections. What's not to love?

Bloombox Hype: Dr. Z's Analysis

Some of you may have heard about this new dark magic called "Bloombox." Basically it is a fuel cell that creates energy without becoming too hot (the problem with fuel cells). The idea is to get one of these in every home in the near future - Google, Walmart, and eBay already use the $700,000 units today. How do they work? Lets ask our resident superGeek, Donny Zimmanck (video after the break):

This must be Google Kansas and other Monday Links

Link here and wtf I'm talking about here, here and here.

A must-read for entrepreneurs and enginerds: Dartmouth Engineering prof Tillman Gerngross talks about the GlycoFi story and Adimab (here)

Shit. Rollers.

Kate Winslet is banging Leo DeCaprio. Oops, too soon? (here)

Surfers get gnar and the NYTimes stays cool with them (here).

My favorite quote of the weekend after the jump

Jam Of The Week: OK Go - "This Too Shall Pass"

Great song and amazing feats of engineering courtesy of Mindshare/Synnlabs. You've probably seen this because the Internets has been buzzing about it, but it can't be denied that it's this week's JOTW. Read more about it and see other feats of Rube Goldberg machines (including one with fire!) here

The above jam faced some stiff competition. Hit the jump for the (barely) runners up

Live Deal Update: Mission Motors

It's been said in the past that AMDAL's friends and Dartmouth grads Paul D. and Karl J. are engineering pimps and not just because they're hot.

Well today, Engadget and Wired Magazine reported a huge milestone for the small startup: the company's prototype bike, Mission One, just set a land speed record (150.059 mph), making it the fastest electric motorcycle ever. Big round of snaps for these guys, especially considering that this is essentially the same bike that people (with $70K of excess fwoh) will be able to purchase when production rolls out sometime next year.

Picture for the ladies and the supernerds alike. Hi Karl.
