Apparently I'm not as funny as I think I am. Or most likely I am, it's just that only I get me and appreciate me.* I've gotten some negative feedback on posts and comments I've made lately, including my newest. So I thought I'd take a moment to explain things. Drawn out meticulous explanations are never boring, but rather always informational and lead to a deeper understanding of what it's like to be me.
That said, let's begin:
Example 1: Comment on MLR's post re: conjunctivitis. My intention, you see, was to poke fun at the fact that a new drug for bacterial conjunctivitis, really wouldn't help Dartmouth, Bausch and Lomb, or MLR very much because most pink eye is viral in origin. This, in fact, IS funny, especially from the medical student perspective. Yet, if I'd taken the time to read the links MLR put up, I would have realized that it was essentially the same joke he was already making. So really, he was funny first. Touché. That said, did anyone read the links? Point. Counterpoint.
Example 2: My own Dmouth Aires post. Why doesn't it require commentary? Are you kidding? How could I possibly say anything to express how lame this looks? Pictures are worth a thousand words. You know who maybe could say something lamer? This kid, member DMS Class 2013. Why did SDBW deserve this treatment? I don't know either. That's the joke!
In terms of the labels, I usually forget to add those. This time I didn't though and thought they were actually appropriate. "Dartmouth being Harvard" is another way of saying this is F***ing lame! Nuff said. Men singing, especially like this, is actually a redundant statement. I apologize. In other words, yet another way of saying lame (WWJD? Good question. When asked in reference to if he wants to go to the Mel Torme/ Velvet Fog AMCA benefit concert, Jerry: "Naaaaaa...I can't watch a man sing a song." Elaine: "What are you..crazy?" Jerry: "They get all emotional , they sway. It's embarrassing."). And finally, Psi U was, once upon a time, the Singing House. See history.
Are we clear now?
*My mom thinks I'll one day meet a really nice girl who will also appreciate me. That'd be nice.
