Photo of the Week: "Lake Michigan"

Every now and then, the lake is unbelievably placid… almost mirror-like. This was one of those mornings - a beautiful sunrise reflected over the water. Unlike the last "Photo of the Week," this picture was created with only one shot. Only a couple enhancements were made to the photo: I boosted the saturation slightly and increased the overall contrast.

Quick photo tip and specs after the jump.

Quick tip: if you're trying to capture a sunrise, even though there is plenty of light, I still recommend using a tripod. Even the slightest movement in the camera will affect the sharpness in the photo. If you don't have a tripod, keep your arms close to your body and hold your breath while you take the shot.

Photo specs:
Camera: Nikon D90
Lens: Nikon 18-200mm VR
Focal Length: 18mm
F number: 9
Exposure: 1/13
Taken March 24th, 2010

Anon,

Nice find. If you or others have taken or found shots, drop them in the comments. If you don't have a way to host your own, send to allmydealsarelive@gmail.com and we'll post them after the jump.
