Jam Of The Week: Phoenix - "1901" (Street Performance in Paris)

Hopefully a late JOTW is better than none at all. Thankfully, a slew of great videos hit the netz later in the week, Phoenix taking this (last?) week's top spot. More street performances, "Listzomania / One Too Many" and "Long Distance Call" - I prefer the above thanks to the realization by the trinket salesman / fan at the very end.

Runners up after the jump:

Runners up:

Kollosus - "Settin' Standards (feat. Gucci Mane)"

By all accounts Gucci Mane should be a fucking joke but yet his rapping continues to impress me. If anyone purchases his new album on Tues , I'd be curious to know what people think. I have a feeling his career is about to pull a Ludacris or 50 Cent and surprise the shit out of me. The Kollosus dude is actually pretty decent too but Gucci has been and continues to be a scene-stealer.

Chromeo - "Night by Night"

Gratuitous hipster jam. Video is mildly amusing. Worth at least one watch.

Old School JOTW:

2Pac - "California Love"

West is the best. Clearly The Doors and 2Pac know what they're talking about. Day 6 on the West Side and still enjoying myself. West side rules the country.

Hat tip: Nice call Elise / Vitt on the Phoenix find. Thanks resident OSJOTW expert Nick B. for the 2Pac call.
