Here are three reasons I should hate this video:
1) Shwayze is made up of a passably talented duo of characters who've largely made it to where they are now by choosing their womb properly. Shwayze (group and black guy's name) grew up in Malibu and Cisco Adler (pencil mustache, white dude) father is music producer Louis Adler. I just spared you a wiki search.
2) Besides being born into money and a music deal, Cisco has also risen to notoriety by banging semi-famous celebrities, including that creepy dead girl from Sixth Sense, Rod Stewart's daughter, a Laguna Beach chick and a slut.
3) The song is the theme to a straight to DVD bomb called Sorority Row. No amount of Good Movie Better Movie photoshopping will save this shipwreck.
Still, it's kind of catchy and a slow week. Enjoy.
Runner Up after the jump...
Runner Up: Drake ft. Trey Songz "Successful"
Unarguably a better video and song with actual talented people. But as one of the last weekends to wear white is approaching, we might as well listen to music we can
*Gross generalization but I don't really care.

MLR -
Since no one ever comments on JOTW, I thought i'd hook a brother up.
I have to admit that i have never listened to a JOTW and used to think it was a stupid feature(sorry for the lack of tact). However, in hindsight, you have made some amazing calls. For example:
1. You posted that Kid Cudi song that was sinced renamed to make it more radio friendly about a month ago. I ignored it because it was a JOTW and that's what I do with JOTW's. I since heard it on the radio and thought it was awesome. Great call.
2. I think you posted a few songs featuring - but not by - Drake. This guy is legit. I recently downloaded his old mix tapes after seeing that he was featured on pretty much every big single in the past 3 months. He is the best new rapper's i've heard in a while (way better than the autotune-addicted douche who is his mentor). In the words of Jay-Z on the upcoming Blueprint 3 in reference to up and coming rappers: "Drake's up next, see what he'll do with it."
3. I heard about Asher Roth from a buddy a couple of days before you posted JOTW and ignored him because he was white (my friend, not Asher... though asher is too). After seeing you post an Asher JOTW, I downloaded some of his stuff. He's pretty solid. Needs a little help with the beats and lyrical content, but his flow is strong. I think he has potential.
In conclusion, I apologize for thinking JOTW was dumb and will start listening to them maybe.
Wow. Comment of the week?
Oh shit - I didn't even expand to see that the runner up was a Drake song. You rascal. I'd also recommend checking out:

I'm going in (ft. Weezy)

By the way, if you've ever watched the [2009 World Champion] LA Lakers, you've probably wondered who that old dude with the red glasses next to Jack Nicholson is. Well, that guy is Lou Adler, not Donald Sutherland, like many people think.
Don't "spare yourself the wiki" on this guy. Although his son Cisco is a ritard, Lou's wiki could be published and sold as a short story called, "How to Properly Live Your Life." The dude is awesome.
Is that how you spell "ritard" as was introduced to the world in the epic thriller the Hanover? I had this debate with someone recently (maybe it was scos?) and I argued that it would be spelled retaard.
We had that discussion, but I think Block is right with his phonetic "ritard." I might accept "ritaard" but that really looks retarded.
And yes, Block, Bbag's "In conclusion, I apologize for thinking JOTW was dumb and will start listening to them maybe," especially the "maybe" part, makes him the front-runner to win this week's coveted COTW, which we've never actually given.
Rumer Willis is the only reason you really need to hate that video. Although hey looky where Shwayze/Cisco Adler are tonight:

BBag, thanks for the comments and glad you are starting to give them a chance.
Scos, I love RT and I wish you'd never stop them, maybe.
I think "Maybe" is almost as good as "but in a good way" or "it happens to everybody."
And COTW has definitely been awarded, to Block in fact, for that beautiful lollipop picture (can we get a link please?). We can talk about bringing it out of the comments and make it a post of its own though.
awesome jotw... it's like someone taped a tridelt party and put it online
It's good to see shwayze getting some AMDAL-love. I've been into this guy since 08W/09S (wakka).
My former Boston roommate JLamb is also a semi-Shwayze fan (he may be known to some of you as the guy who lived in our apartment and didnt play pong. Aside from that, he was pretty cool).
James said that he once went to a shwayze concert which consisted of preteens and mom-chaperones. Shwayze apparently put on a terrible performance and made fun of the teens all concert.
Also worth listening to: James Brown is Dead, Don't Be Shy, Roamin'.
