To follow up on Block's post on the music service, Spotify, the iPhone app has just been approved by Apple. Considered to be an "iTunes killer," its pretty amazing it got through the approval process. Keep in mind its not in the US yet, but hopefully it will soon. You can read more here.

This is wonderful news, so thanks to for mentioning this and to Future for posting about it.
Just wanted to let everyone know that with only a week of Spotify usage under my belt, I've already bought two albums because I was able to listen to the artists in full on Spotify. I also bought another album because it wasn't yet available on Spotify (seems there's a delay with new music).
See iTunes? It's not an iTunes killer! If you play your cards right, it can be an iTunes helper! Of course, I hate iTunes, so I bought the albums on Amazon, but that's besides the point.
By the way, these are the albums I bought. They all rock face hard:
A Skylit Drive: Adelphia
Alexisonfire: Old Crows/Young Cardinals
Mute Math: Armistice
In other app news, the Facebook 3.0 app is available on the app store now.
It looks like the old one, but just re-download it anyways. It's got some cool new features and looks a bit cleaner so check that link above.
Sorry for my ignorance but does this mean I can get to it or are we Americans still temporarily barred from this awesome service?
I'm sure there's a hack but I'm already using tethering (Future, maybe you should offer a demo for that, pretty sweet) and I don't want to push my luck.
Apple never intended to make money on the iTunes Music Store. For them, it was always a vehicle for selling more iPods (and iPhones). However, the iTunes Music Store has become a big moneymaker for apple, but not because of the Music (make sure you read the Update). Instead, most of their profit on the store comes from the apps these days.
as a follow-up to "Rightfully Called Out", I applaud the removal of the Random Comments knock-off this morning. I don't know who "trip" is, but I do think its pretty bogus what was done...
I concur with The Brah - Scos' Random Thoughts was the first column that got me coming to AMDAL regularly in anticipation. He deserves to not have his style cramped.
Don't shoot the blogger brah, blame the editors. Or editor in this case. I duffer it by ok'ing a post prematurely. More to come in the next week or two. In the meantime, breathe. As AOG has taught me, it's only a blog.
