Did you know there's such a thing as SPF 70 sunblock? It's a little ridiculous when apparently "an SPF of 50 only provides 1% to 2% more protectionthan an SPF 30." That said, if the sun god (or his musical equivalent above) wears zinc all over his upper face, you have to second guess everything you think you know about protection. You also have to watch the video.
When I found this clip on Kanye's blog, I initially skipped it because the screenshot I saw above looked a bit too weird for me. Human swordfish, pyramid people and a guy wearing a giant magnet hat while playing the guitar didn't exactly seem JOTW material. And then I played the song. It is weird, don't get me wrong, but in the post-MJ era, it's nice to hear a little funk now and then. Listen close enough and you can hear
Either way, it's a fun video to watch and equally fun song(s?) to listen to. But you want a buddy handy. That way they can get your back. Yea...that's the spot...

The lead singer reminds me a lil of Will Ferrell in Zoolander...
"I invented the piano key necktie!"
Is this really funk? Seems more like Ziggy Stardust
fwiw, their song 'walking on a dream' is actually really good. though the video is nearly as ridiculous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMJjF4LHOkY
SPF 70 - in the context of farces, Big Tobacco pales in comparison. Slather it on one last time: http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=100565.
Re: ' "an SPF of 50 only provides 1% to 2% more protectionthan an SPF 30." '
Definition:
"SPF numbers on a package can range from as low as 2 to as high as 100. These numbers refer to the product's ability to screen or block out the sun's burning rays."
It is my understanding (could be wrong) that SPF corresponds to proction as a direct multiplier. So, SPF 4 is supposed to protect 2x as much as SPF 2. If this is true, that means 50 proveds 66% more protection than 30. Not 1-2%, but still nominal when you think about the marginal benefit in going from 10 to 30 (200% increase).
"The difference in UVB protection between an SPF 100 and SPF 50 is marginal. Far from offering double the blockage, SPF 100 blocks 99 percent of UVB rays, while SPF 50 blocks 98 percent. (SPF 30, that old-timer, holds its own, deflecting 96.7 percent)."

I'll make this a post when the embed comes out but for the devout comment readers / JOTW fans I give you Passion Pit now:
Jimmy Fallon is a decent show with sometimes good guests and bits but where he's always shined has been the musical performances. It's usually a good bet to watch Fallon on Hulu and just fwd to the last white dot on the progress bar; that's when the music starts. Last night was no exception. Passion Pit, a band MIS turned me onto and their CD "Manners" is on constant rotation on my smartPhone. Check it out here.
